Linux Virtual Machines with Private Network on an Apple M1 Device

Background

The aim was to be able to:

Run multiple Linux VMs on an Apple M1/ARM device
Use Apple's HVF for native performance speeds
Configure VMs to allow network access to each other
Configure VMs to allow access to the internet
Not rely on custom modifications of software

Setup Kubernetes Cluster On-Premise using kubeadm

Why would you do this?

You own your bare metal infrastructure.
You want to take advantage of Kubernetes.
You do not wish to migrate your application to the cloud

Installing Arch Linux ARM in a UTM virtual machine

Steps:

Create a new virtual machine.
Go to System tab, change architecture to `ARM64 (aarch64)' and increase memory as needed.
Download Alpine Linux LiveCD:

Go to Drives tab, New Drive, set size to 20GiB or larger, then Inport Drive, choose the file you just downloaded.
