A list of all blind-accessible videogames

This is a list of every videogame accessible to the blind. For purposes of this article, blind means someone with no usable vision. For every game, its level of accessibility will be described next to it.

For some games there is not enough information so feel free to leave your experiences in the comments. Also, if you know of any other blind-accessible games that aren't on this list, please write them down in the comments. You can also message me on Discord (my username is: molitvan).

This was originally started on June 18th, 2024 in the form of this Reddit thread and has since been moved here. A website for this list and more is planned in the future. Stay tuned!

The list has moved

As of February 26th, 2026, the list has been moved to this GitHub repo. This gist won't be deleted for historical purposes as well as to make sure the list's position in search engines isn't affected by the move.

I agree with @OlzKennett here. I think that including low vision and legally blind players would make the scope too wide and personally I'm not sure if I'd be willing to spend time on such a project, at least not currently. As someone who has went from being low vision to legally blind to now pretty much no usable vision at all, I think that low vision and legally blind players already have a lot of resources and a lot more resources than we do while there's a severe lack of resources for fully blind players.
And don't get me wrong. I'm not saying screw low vision and legally blind players and players with other disabilities, what I'm saying is that I think the best thing for this project is to focus exclusively on fully blind players and exclusively on mainstream (non-blind-specific) games as it does currently.

Also @uxaccess I'm personally not a fan of separating the list into sections like that while it's still here on GitHub Gists, although if people want it I'll do it. The reason why is I think it makes it a bit slower to browse.

I think the nice thing is, if you keep the scope tight, there could be other resources that link through where they themselves include the wider spectrum of sight loss. I think that, with so few totally blind about, it is important to keep a hard boundary as its often subsumed by the volume of the partially sighted. This isn’t a reflection on anyone, it’s a simple issue of numbers and the louder voice of the majority. Sorry to return to it—sounds like a brag—but I’m loving the XBox Ally and am working out some interesting ways of using button remapping to hook into NVDA for OCR etc. I’d be more than willing to write a couple of guides on setting stuff up and sharing configs. The handheld, I believe, is the perfect fit for GWS: Doesn’t expect much in graphics, no need for extra hardware and, they’re just neat though, the set up is a little fiddly. An addition to the list, or possible… Though it’s not a game in itself, Retroarch has screenreader hooks built in now and an OCR. I’ve not played with it much but seems promising. Also, I can’t get it running with screen reader through steam for some reason.

hi! great to see this work. i would like to add the nfl games. they have an inbuild screenreader
and by the way diablo 4 is fully accessible! i am playing through and it is perfect even in dungeons which sometimes are more challenging but manageable.

how good is elder scrolls online withe the fco accessibility mod?

I've noticed that Brok the InvestiGator hasn't yet been added to this list! I recommend adding it.

I wonder if some sort of email list for this would be worth it so people can be notified when new games become accessible.

Thanks. Regarding NFL, is the gameplay also accessible or do they just have menu narration? Also about Diablo, I think not having nav assist in dungeons + some other things like the map being a pain to use are enough to say that it's mostly accessible since it can make a lot of the parts of the game frustrating or just take way longer than they're supposed to. A lot of other people, even on Sightless Slayers have a similar opinion.

Hey y’all, I love this list of games. I do have a question about Fortnite. My boyfriend wants me to play it with him. I’m fully blind obviously lol my question is is can you use the FA 11 Y mod with the epic game launcher version of Fortnite? I tried to download it through the legendary thing included in the FA 11 Y folder but for some reason, it keeps telling me I don’t have the game in my library so I’m just wondering if it’ll still work with the epic games launcher version of Fortnite or if anybody has any information that’ll help cause I would really like to play this game with my boyfriend. It’s just trying to get this man to work has been rather troublesome so thank you for your help. Appreciate everything.

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has had any issues with the Final Fantasy mod for Final Fantasy nine? I clicked the link and it takes me to the Final Fantasy six green readers mod and then when I go down to where it says, there’s a separate download here I click that and it just refresh this page to the top and so I’m wondering if anybody else has figured this out or if I’m supposed to use the Final Fantasy 6 mile? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
